So what is sinus tract? This is an abnormal channel that leads from bones or any other structures in your body to the skin surface and this passageway is also called fistula. This may be the result of an infection on your skin. It may also result from decompression of a synovial joint in rheumatoid arthritis which is called classic fistulous rheumatism.

Sinusitis infection may start off simple: runny nose, cough, and congestion.
But when it is not taken care of in time, it can lead to much more severe symptoms.
Newer Treatment that is Used Nasally is Aerosolized Medications
Aerosolized medications are used very much like nebulized asthma medications. These antibiotics, anti-fungals, and anti-inflammatories are broken down into a small particle size so that it can pass the inflammation and make its way up to the sinusitis infection. Generally a small amount of these medications are used which results in little to no side effects in the rest of the body. Give yourself a momentary pause while reading what there is to read here on Sinus Cavity. Use this pause to reflect on what you have so far written on Sinus Cavity.

Sinusitis Infections are Generally Caused by a Cold or an Allergy
When a cold or allergy occurs, swelling of the sinus cavity lining takes place. When bacteria enter the sinus cavities, they attack the swollen lining which then causes greater inflammation. The cilia is a part of the sinuses which usually flushes out the bacteria and mucus. When a great amount of inflammation occurs, the cilia can no longer function as it should and so the bacteria and mucus end up becoming trapped in the cavities and as a result the sinusitis infection transpires. The information available on Chronic Sinusitis is infinite. There just seems to be so much to learn about, and to write about on Chronic Sinusitis.

There are also many treatments which are directly distributed into the sinus cavities. These treatments are generally meant to help moisten the cilia so that it can flush out the trapped mucus and bacteria. Nasal sprays are commonly used and can be prescribed or purchased over the counter. The nasal sprays may offer some relief to the lower part of the sinuses but often times may not help the infection since their particle sizes are too large to make it past the inflammation at the opening of the sinus cavities and up to the sinusitis infection. The same holds true for a treatment called irrigation which distributes saline up to the sinus cavities. Irrigation is also very messy and generally unsuccessful in offering relief.

General, the symptoms of an acute sinusitis infection may include cough, congestion, facial pain and pressure, headache, green nasal discharge, and postnasal drip. When the sinusitis infection lasts for twelve or more weeks it is known as chronic sinusitis and can have added symptoms such as loss of sense of taste and smell and fatigue may also be experienced. Other symptoms may also occur depending on which sinus cavity that the infection lies in. The completion of this article on Sinus Infection was our prerogative since the past one month. However, we completed it within a matter of fifteen days!

There are numerous medications and treatments meant to offer relief to the sinusitis infection sufferer. One of the most common treatments is oral medications such as antibiotics, decongestants, and anti-fungals. Oral medications work on infections and other problems by traveling through the blood stream to the infected area. In the sinus cavities there are very few blood vessels. Since the oral medications use the blood stream to flow to the area where they are needed, only a small amount of the medication can be delivered to the sinusitis infection which may lead to little or no relief from the treatment. Also since these medications use the blood stream, it then is distributed through out the rest of the body also which can lead to many side effects such as stomach pain, drowsiness, amongst many others depending on which type of medication is being used.

The gastro esophageal reflux disease with acid turns in the esophagus is being associated with many cases of respiratory diseases in children but also in some cases of chronic sinusitis in adults. In a clinical study more than 4% of the children suffering from GERD had sinus damages, and about 63% of children with sinusitis had GERD. Some specialists see the gastro esophageal reflux as normal in children and deny its significance for upper respiratory diseases.

This way, you are bound to have a better understanding on Acute Sinusitis.

A patient has chronic sinusitis then the localized pain in the sinuses area is pretty much continuous, the headaches are also present all the time, bad breath and chronic cough. If the maxillary sinuses are affected then toothaches might be present. Also, acute pain in the morning and when wearing glasses will not avoid the patient. In chronic broken nose sinusitis, the infection of the sinuses gives a general headache. The title of this composition could be rightly be Sinusitis Pain. This is because what is mentioned here is mostly about Sinusitis Pain.

Acute ethmoid sinusitis causes symptoms like: pain near the base of the nose, between the eyes, one side of the nose or around the inner corner of the eyes; headaches, nasal discharge and congestion. The pain gets worse if the head is upright and when coughing.

Sinusitis must be treated from its first symptoms as it can cause complications in time, like spreading the infection to other parts of the body, and for resolving that, surgery might be the only solution remaining at that time. This is a systematic presentation on the uses and history of Chronic Sphenoid Sinusitis. Use it to understand more about Chronic Sphenoid Sinusitis and it's functioning.

Acute maxillary sinusitis the pain appears when the head is upright and the patient feels better if the head is in a reclining position. This type of sinusitis affects one or both of the cheekbones, causing pain, redness and swallowing of the cheekbone; nasal discharge is also present; pain occurs also around the eye and the upper teeth. We hope you develop a better understanding of Sinuses Cavities on completion of this article on Sinuses Cavities. Only if the article is understood is it's benefit reached. Wink

Information is the best way to be prepared for illness, especially sinusitis. Sinusitis is an advanced form of sinus infection, and it can most easily be prevented by knowing what to look for. Can you spot a sinus infection symptom right away? Do you know what to look for?

Which Sinus Infection Symptom Have You Spotted?
Sinus Headache-People tend to let this one go by or just treat it with Aspirin. Don't let it slide so easily. A sinus headache is different from a normal headache in that the aching is located behind the nose or eyes, where the sinuses are. This could be caused by congestion or even infection in the nasal passages. You'd be surprised how far nasal spray can go in preventing this symptom. We were rather indecisive on where to stop in our writings of Sinusitis. We just went on writing and writing to give a long article.

This informational article provides a brief description of a sinus infection symptom and what to do when you spot it. In reviewing each sinus infection symptom, remember that they are commonly mistaken for symptoms of a common cold or allergies. Though they hold symptoms in common with sinusitis and sinus infection, a sinus infection symptom may arise when allergies aren't normally sparked and when the cold is out of season. But, to be thorough, cold and allergy symptoms can easily turn into a sinus infection if left untreated. In fact, more than one sinus problem could result from not knowing what the sinus infection symptoms are. At worst, sinusitis or sinus infection could result in sinus surgery. The value of this composition is achieved if after reading it, your knowledge on Sinuses is greatly influenced. This is how we find out that the meaning of Sinuses has really entered you!

Post Nasal Drip-Post nasal drip is a sensation of liquid or mucous build up in the back of the throat. We are constantly sniffing and, of course, breathing. This means that when we sniff, mucous is drawn to the back of the throat, and when we breathe condensed air moisture is also drawn to the back of the throat. Post nasal drip may actually be blown back upward into the sinuses, or even into the ears and the Eustachian tube with coughing or sneezing. When this occurs, a sinus infection symptom may quickly become an ear infection symptom. It is the normal style of writers to add additional information with the intention of lengthening the length of an article. However, we have provided a short and concise article with only required information on Sinusitis.

Nasal Congestions-Nasal congestions may begin as a cold or an allergy, but if congestions in the nasal cavities stick around, that is a red flag. Congestions may arise from fluids which drain into the Eustachian tubes from the ear or the nose. Since the tube is not as slanted in children, there is more of a tendency for water from bathing or swimming to rest in the Eustachian tube and become infected with bacteria. The initial stages of this article on Sinus Problem proved to be difficult. However, with hard work and perseverance, we have succeeded in providing an interesting and informative article for you to read.

These are Only a Few Examples of a Sinus Infection Symptom
When a symptom does occur, it's best to be prepared. The best preparation is prevention. I have already mentioned nasal spray, and a lot of people don't understand why that would help. Think of what washing your hands does to prevent bacteria from entering the nose and mouth when you touch them. Using nasal spray has the same cleansing effect on the nasal passages. It is best to use a nasal spray with Xylitol as the leading ingredient, as it is a natural enemy to bacteria, and is proven to help prevent sinus infection. As Xylitol rinses out the nasal passages, it helps to keep bacteria from settling and festering into infection in the moisture and warmth of the nasal passages. You may be inquisitive as to where we got the matter for writing this article on Sinusitis. Of course through our general knowledge, and the Internet!
Sinusitis Tratamiento Natural - Major Symptoms of Sinus Infection
You're coughing and sneezing and tired and achy. You think that you might be getting a cold. Later, when the medicines you've been taking to relieve the symptoms of the common cold are not working and you've now got a terrible headache, you finally drag yourself to the doctor. After listening to your history of symptoms, examining your face and forehead, and perhaps doing a sinus X-ray, the doctor says you have sinusitis.

The sinuses are four pairs of hollow spaces in the bones of the face lined with mucous membranes and connected to the nose. The sinuses allow air to flow freely within the spaces in and out of the nose. Small hairs in the sinuses (cilia) regularly help move mucous out through the nose. When the small openings from the nose to the sinus cavities (sinus ostia) are blocked, or when too much mucous is produced, inflammation can occur within sinus cavities and cause acute sinusitis. We would like you to leisurely go through this article on Sinus to get the real impact of the article. Sinus is a topic that has to be read clearly to be understood.

Some additional signs that the doctor will check for in order to diagnose sinusitis are swollen areas around the eyes, nasal passages that have become reddened, facial areas over the sinuses that are tender to percussion (tapping) and drainage from the nose that is similar to pus. Sometimes additional information is used to diagnose this information, such as patient history, and certain tests such as a CT scan or MRI might also be performed because these tests are far better at revealing the actual infection than an X-Ray. There has been an uncalculatable amount of information added in this composition on Sinus Ostia. Don't try counting it!

Sinus Infection Symptoms are Caused by Inflammation and Blockage of the Sinus Cavities
Sinuses are hollow pockets of air located on either side of the nose, behind and in-between the eyes, and in the forehead. The sinuses produce mucus that cleans and moistens the membranes of the nose and throat. Each sinus has an opening into the nose that allows for free exchange of mucus and air. Sinus infection symptoms result when these openings get plugged. There is a lot of jargon connected with Sinus Infection Symptoms. However, we have eliminated the difficult ones, and only used the ones understood by everyone.

Pain or pressure symptoms worse when coughing, straining, or lying on the back and better when the head is upright.
Commonly the symptoms of sinus infection are headache, facial tenderness or pain, and fever.
However, as few as 25% of patients may have fever associated with acute sinus infection.
Other common symptoms include cloudy, discolored nasal drainage, a feeling of nasal stuffiness, a sore throat, and a cough.
Sometimes, what we hear about Sphenoid Sinus Inflammation can prove to be rather hilarious and illogical.
This is why we have introduced this side of Sphenoid Sinus Inflammation to you.
If you are living with the symptoms on this list you are certainly not reaching your true potential at work, family life or at rest. It was at the spur of the moment that we ventured to write something about Acute Sinus. Such is the amount of matter that is available on Acute Sinus.

The Main Symptoms of Sinusitis are Pain and Pressure in the Face
The location of pain and tenderness depends on which sinus is inflamed. When pain is over the cheek and upper teeth may be caused by the maxillary sinus' inflammation. Pain in the forehead above the eyebrow may be triggered by inflammation of the frontal sinus. Once pain is behind the eyes, on top of the head, or in both temples may be brought about by sphenoid sinus' inflammation. The inflammation of the ethmoid sinus can be identified by the pain around or behind the eyes. Having a penchant for Sinuses led us to write all that there has been written on Sinuses here. Hope you too develop a penchant for Sinuses!

Sinusitis Virus or Bacteria - Sinusitis and Natural Supplements
You're probably familiar with Tiger Balm, that strong-smelling oriental ointment that comes in a red tin decorated with a tiger. I have used it for colds and headaches, and I like it. Tiger Balm is filled with potent aromatic herbal extracts--menthol from peppermint, eugenol from cloves, cineole from cajuput (a close relative of teatree), cinnamaldehyde from cinnamon, and camphor. It clears the sinuses faster than a tiger can pounce. Sinusitis occurs when the mucous lining of the sinuses becomes inflamed. Anything that blocks the entry of air into the sinuses can result in inflammation: bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, allergies, polyps, or a deviated septum. Sinusitis is a common condition -- according to the American Academy of Otolaryngology, sinusitis affects 37 million people in the United States. Household dust and mould can aggravate sinusitis. Wash bed sheets regularly in hot water and invest in pillow covers specially designed to protect you from the many dust mites that live inside pillows. Keep the rest of your bedroom very clean.

General, a diet that is rich in vegetables, whole grains, and beans, and low in saturated fat (meat and dairy), sugar, mucous-forming, and allergenic foods will be beneficial to the sinuses. Echinacea, (pronounced eck-in-AY-sha) a safe and highly effective natural supplement, not only rapidly improves cold and flu symptoms, but can prevent these diseases.3 Most importantly, when echinacea is combined with two other herbs, white cedar and wild indigo, even greater health benefits can be achieved. You might also try one of the following supplements to boost immunity: - 1,000 mg vitamin C three times a day - 30 to 60 mg zinc a day - 15,000 IU beta-carotene a day Or to reduce inflammation: - 500 mg bromelain three times a day, taken between meals - 500 mg quercetin three times a day, taken between meals There are a variety of herbal treatments that help promote sinus drainage, relieve pain, and strengthen the immune system. Herbs can be taken in capsules, brewed in teas, or in tinctures. Try drinking one cup of tea or taking 30 to 60 drops of tincture every two to four hours of the following herbs, which can be effective taken individually or in combination: - Wild indigo - Eyebright - Licorice - Coneflower - Goldenseal - Garlic - Ginger Homeopathic remedies for sinusitis include arsenicum album, kali bichromicum, pulsatilla, and nux vomica. Consult an experienced homeopath for a recommendation on which remedy may be effective for you. Additional home treatments include alternating placing hot and cold wet washcloths on your face. Use a hot one for three minutes, then a cold one for one minute, and repeat three times. Try to do three sets a day. Eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary, or thyme oils added to a hot bath may give you some relief as well. Another option is to add two to five drops of one of these oils to a pot of water, bring to a simmer, and inhale the steam. Foods that people with sinusitis should avoid are dairy, oranges, white sugar, and foods containing white flour, because they promote the formation of mucous. Sugar also has a negative effect on the ability of the immune system to clear bacteria. Aside from the major foods, wheat, soy, fermented foods, and eggs can be experimentally avoided for a couple of weeks to see if sinus symptoms improve, and then re-introduced to see if symptoms temporarily worsen. Where the Direct Cause of the Problem is Known
For example where there is an immediate reaction to eating shellfish or peanuts - then the obvious treatment is to refrain from eating these foods. But in most instances the answer to the problem of what is causing the allergic reaction is very difficult to determine. Getting information on specific topics can be quite irritating for some. This is the reason this article was written with as much matter pertaining to Sinusitis as possible. This is the way we aim to help others in learning about Sinusitis.

Very often people turn to alternative sources for advice in dealing with allergies. There are a great many sites on the internet advertising e-books describing treatment for two very common conditions, asthma and sinusitis. They were written by people who suffered at one time from these problems, but were able to get relief using unusual methods they discovered or devised. Now that we think about it, Sinus Headaches are not actually that difficult a topic to write about. Just looking at the word, ideas form in people's minds about the meaning and usage of Sinus Headaches.

Is also very difficult indeed to determine which of the wide variety of substances, commonly known to cause adverse physical reactions, is responsible in each individual case. It may be several substances. There are no boundaries on countries for one to access information about Sinus through the Internet. All one has to do is to surf, and then the required matter is availed!

The case of people unusually sensitive to certain allergens the body reacts to their presence by producing antibodies with the result that there is an immediate allergic reaction that can take different forms. You actually learn more about Sinus Pain only with more reading on matters pertaining to it. So the more articles you read like this, the more you learn about Sinus Pain.

The most common substances likely to cause these reactions in people unfortunate enough to suffer from allergic reactions, are substances such as grass pollens, house dust mites, animal hair, mold spores, even certain foods such shellfish, peanuts, eggs, and in the case of infants frequently cow's milk. You must have searched high and low for some matter for Sinusitis, isn't it? That is the main reason we compiled this article for you to get that required matter!

Doctors routinely perform prick tests to test the reaction to certain substances, or patch tests where various materials are applied to an absorbent pad are placed on the back. There is sometimes a delayed sensitivity reaction than can take from 48 to 72 hours after application. But these tests are often not conclusive. Frequently the reaction to the sample substances is not sufficiently marked to provide conclusive evidence. Now while reading about Sinus, don't you feel that you never knew so much existed about Sinus? So much matter you never knew existed.

One of the most common reactions to allergens is known as "hay fever", a condition in which the mucous membranes react with severe nasal discharge, often accompanied with watery eyes. The term "hay fever" however, is misleading because the condition is not caused by a reaction to hay but to certain plant particles and animal proteins.

After two painful sinus operations, I was still coming down with infections. I had to find some real remedy to my sinusitis problem, as I was tired of taking antibiotics and especially tired of the dull, deep headaches every time I had an attack. Wink

Use a Waterpik and Adaptor
When I first started following Dr. Grossan's advice he suggested using a WaterPik machine, and these have been sold for years as devices to improve gum and dental health. Dr. Grossan simply sold an adaptor and a saline solution, although one can use table salt. Although much more expensive than salt, I find that this saline solution is convenient, works well, and has no preservatives. I usually purchase a dozen containers at a time, and these will last up to a year with one application per day. One simply puts a spoonful of saline solution into the WaterPik tank and then about 16 oz. of warm water to dissolve the powder. Then the nasal adaptor is put into one nostril and the machine will gently propel half the liquid through one's nasal canal, and it will drain out the other side. One then puts the adaptor in the other nostril and repeats the procedure on that side. This procedure is done while leaning over a sink. I then normally put more water into the tank and use the WaterPik on my teeth as it was originally intended, and I've helped my gum and dental health as well. My dental hygienist has made several comments about how much better my gums and teeth are when I go in for cleanings. The whole effort only takes about 5 minutes or so, including wiping everything dry. I normally do the irrigation once a day about an hour before bed, but if I happen to wake up with more than the usual congestion in the morning, I'll do it then as well. Although there was a lot of fluctuation in the writing styles of we independent writers, we have come up with an end product on Sinusitis worth reading! Wink

The Easiest Way to Start
In the past couple of years Dr. Grossan has come up with his own machine for nasal irrigation. It is called the Hydro Pulse Nasal Irrigation System. For about $89 plus shipping one receives the Hydro Pulse Nasal/Sinus Irrigator, 2 Original Sinus Irrigator Tips , 2 Original Throat Irrigator Tips, Breathe-ease XL Nasal Moisturizer (this is the saline solution), and excerpts from,"The Sinus Cure" by Dr. Grossan. When a child shows a flicker of understanding when talking about Sinus Irrigator, we feel that the objective of the meaning of Sinus Irrigator being spread, being achieved.

Dr. Murray Grossan to the Rescue I thus started doing more research on other books and approaches, and in the course of this I came across a book by Dr. Murray Grossan called "The Sinus Cure- 7 Simple Steps". In a nutshell, Dr. Grossan's system worked. His book contains many technical explanations about sinusitis and how to deal with it. He clearly explains the reasons for the problem and suggests numerous remedies including diet considerations, home environmental improvements like duct cleaning and humidity control, and the most important aspect of the program: pulsating nasal irrigation with a saline solution. We have to be very flexible when talking to children about Sinuses. They seem to interpret things in a different way from the way we see things!

Haven't eliminated sinus infections entirely, and I might come down with perhaps one per year. I'm more susceptible when very tired, or after long flights, as we often go back and forth to Europe for our tour business. When flying anywhere I make sure to take some kind of decongestant, normally the Flonase. I can enjoy wine, cheese, chocolate, and I really don't need to avoid any particular foods. Dr. Grossan's system has worked for me, and I certainly don't miss the deep, painful sinus infection headaches that used to be all too familiar. Dr. Grossan has lots of other advice in his book as well, and I definitely recommend that anyone with sinusitis read it.

Tried Various Approaches for Years
Throughout my years with significant sinus problems, I had read a number of books and tried different products and approaches. One author I read early-on was not very encouraging. He said that certain things aggravated sinus problems, and one should simply stop eating chocolate, cheese and other dairy products. Also, he said that in order to be cured there could simply be no drinking of alcoholic beverages either. Sorry, he said, but that's the way it has to be. For a person who lived in France and who has come to enjoy the excellent wine and numerous cheese varieties, this was awful. What kind of a life would I have without drinking wine and eating cheese? At that point I did have to stop drinking, as even one glass of wine could be enough to trigger an infection almost every time. After six months of this I got sick of drinking soda and non-alcoholic beer, which tastes pretty bad. In fact I was ridiculed in a restaurant in France when I ordered a Buckler's , which is Heineken's nonalcoholic beer. The French owner asked my why I would order such a ridiculous beverage with his excellent meal, and I explained I had sinus problems. He replied that he bad sinus problems too, and he got headaches every day, but nothing would stop him from drinking red wine! I actually admired his attitude, but the headaches were too painful, and I felt like I was on the search for "Lorenzo's oil", like the father in the movie of the same title that needed a certain rare oil to cure his son. It was also through this author, an ENT specialist, that I first heard about nasal irrigation, but the system suggested did not work well. He sold a saline solution, but it was too strong and caused a burning sensation in my nose. He suggested a sort of long-nosed pot called a Neti pot to use to pour the solution into each nostril. This approach did not work nearly as well as the system suggested by Dr. Grossan (see below), and I was wrongly convinced that nasal irrigation was not effective. It makes a big difference how the irrigation is done and with what kind of equipment and saline solution. It is only because that we are rather fluent on the subject of Sinusitis Problem that we have ventured on writing something so influential on Sinusitis Problem like this!

Best of Luck to All Sinusitis Sufferers
I hope this information will help improve your lives as much as it has helped me. Sinus Operations- Try to Avoid
The operations were no fun. After the first one my nose was "packed". This means that in order to stop the bleeding, the ENT specialist/surgeon put a large amount of gauze in my nose, which means that one can only breathe through the mouth for the week or so of recovery time. In other words, swallowing and breathing cannot occur at the same time. This is a good way to lose weight, as one cannot eat much, but it is not a great way to live. At the end of this period, before pulling out the gauze, the doctor said "this will feel like I'm pulling your brains out through your nose". This was the most accurate statement he ever made to me. Pulling what seemed like 6 feet of moist, sticky gauze out of my nose was an almost surrealistically painful sensation. But I thought, "if my deviated septum is now fixed, at least I can look forward to no sinus infections in the future, or at least a lot fewer of them. I was wrong again, as they started coming back after a few months. I changed ENT specialists since the first one put me through tons of pain for no gain. After a couple of years of treatment with this new doctor, I decided to take his advice and try another operation. Among other therapies, I had allergy shots during that time, even though I only tested positive for minor allergies to a couple of things. My nose was not "packed" this time, but there was still plenty of pain. Again my hopes for an infection-free future were dashed when they started up again after a few months. So after two operations by two different ENT specialists, I said "enough is enough". For those considering sinus operations to fix things like a deviated septum, here's my considered advice: don't do it. At least try the nasal irrigation recommended by Dr. Murray Grossan which is explained below before you do. One hears about people who have had 5 or 6 sinus operations, and these either don't work, or if they do cause improvement, it doesn't last very long. Some people have told me that a sinus operation "fixed" their problems, but I am skeptical. We found it rather unbelievable to find out that there is so much to learn on Sinus Problems! Wonder if you could believe it after going through it!

This is the Easiest Way to Start, as You Have Everything Needed
If the system works well and you want to continue to do nasal irrigation on a daily basis, I would suggest purchase of a pack of one dozen saline solution boxes, as the price is lower per box and there is only one shipping charge to pay. Of course one could still purchase a WaterPik at a retail store and buy the Dr. Grossan's adaptor and saline solution to work with it. For information about how to purchase these items, and also how to download a free ebook written by Dr. Grossan, follow the links at the end of this article.

When we turn to medicinal approaches, we find that the use of antibiotics has always been seen as the ideal sinus infection treatment. The reason behind this is, due to the fact that many sinus infections are considered to be caused by bacteria and bacterial infections have always been treated by antibiotics, it then seems suitable for sinus infections to be treated by the same. However, specific types of antibiotics will be used to treat specific types of bacterial sinus infections. Therefore, a proper diagnosis from your doctor to determine the actual cause of the infection is required. This reason then prompts the doctor to use your blood sample to establish the actual cause and the subsequent type of antibiotic that is needed to treat the infection. Some of the antibiotics that are commonly used to treat bacterial sinus infections include Klacid and Amoxicillin antibiotics. For fungi infections, Diflucan antibiotic is mostly preferred. The primary function of the sinuses is to filter pollutants and bacteria from the air through the small hairs and mucus within the sinus cavities. In normal situations this works fine however swelling and infection can impair this function as a result of a cold or allergy. Such sinus infection (sinusitis) results in symptoms such as pain around the nose and eyes, a high temperature and headache and makes the sufferer feel generally unwell.

Although sinusitis may have you feeling miserable, there are several steps you can take to help relieve the symptoms of sinus infection such as: Steam Inhalation - The pain of sinus infection occurs when mucus drainage system fails to drain adequately. Placing your head over a bowl of steaming water a few times a day will help to get things moving again and give some relief.
